Please review this information in its entirety before proceeding to register for Homecoming and before contacting us with questions.

Registration in Homecoming is restricted to Alumni Blue Band Association members only.  

A majority of the proceeds from Alumni Blue Band Homecoming registration fees directly benefit the Penn State athletic bands program. Therefore, your registration fee is non-refundable. Thank you for your understanding. For more information, please review our refund policy.

Final deadline for registration is SUNDAY, August 30th, at midnight Eastern time. NO EXCEPTIONS!

With the transition to the Penn State Alumni Association’s (PSAA) unified membership model, you no longer need to pay for a separate membership in the Alumni Blue Band Association in order to be eligible to participate in Homecoming.  We strongly encourage all ABBA members to hold active membership in the PSAA.  For information regarding PSAA membership please see Penn State Alumni Association - Join the Alumni Association (psu.edu).  

Events:

ABBA members are encouraged to participate in the Hintz Family Alumni Center ice cream social pep band performance on Friday afternoon and/or the Homecoming parade (particularly percussion) on Friday evening at no cost! If you do not plan to attend the game but are interested in these events please select the "Homecoming Parade / Ice Cream Social ONLY" registration option. (If you select this option, you will not receive a Homecoming ticket, field credentials, or access to the ABBA seating area in Beaver Stadium.)

ABBA leadership will once again plan to utilize the Penn State Alumni Association's post parade party as our social event.  This event takes place following the Homecoming Parade on Friday evening at the Hintz Family Alumni Center.  Please indicate in the registration if you are planning to attend.  We may need to send out a separate email with registration information just concerning this event pending our discussions with PSAA staff.

Required Applications:

This year ABBA will be utilizing the UDB application for the drill charts and the BEAM application for the music.  These apps should be downloaded onto your smart phone prior to Homecoming weekend.  Phone lyre clips, wrist clips for the piccolos and baritones and special trombone clips are available for purchase through the registration process.  For information regarding the UBD/BEAM applications please see Ultimate Drill Book | The World's Best Marching Band Tools .  All drill charts and music will be available for download prior to Homecoming Weekend.  Should you prefer paper copies, it is strongly advised they be brought with you and printed beforehand.  Any and all Homecoming returnees are encouraged to bring their folios from last year.  If you did not participate in Homecoming last year and would like to utilize a flip folder for your music please contact us at homecoming@psualumnibands.org.

For Homecoming game participants, your $95 registration fee includes:

• Game ticket and dedicated seating area in the north end zone of Beaver Stadium (Please note that due to capacity constraints, only confirmed Homecoming participants will be permitted in the Alumni Blue Band seating area: family and friends will need to secure tickets elsewhere in the stadium. At this time, the Homecoming committee does not have ABBA-specific ticket information for non-participants; please visit the Penn State athletic ticketing office for more information.)
• Pregame rehearsal at Holuba Hall led by the Penn State athletic bands staff (rehearsal time is TBD; specific rehearsal details will be communicated once they are confirmed, we anticipate roughly 2 hours between the end of rehearsal and the game call time)
• The opportunity to perform on the field during pregame and halftime of the Homecoming game.
• • ABBA members who wish to join their fellow alumni in the stands during the Homecoming game but are no longer physically able to take the field for pregame and halftime are welcome to register.  Please contact us at homecoming@psualumnibands.org for further information.
• Equipment for silks, sousaphones, baritones, mellophones, and percussion only.  No other instruments are available. 
• A limited number of complimentary parking passes are available.  Passes will be given out in the order requesters register for Homecoming.  These passes are for the University Support Building parking lot located off University Drive behind the Blue Band Building.
• Use of the UBD/BEAM applications.  Limited music folios, sheet music and drill charts will be available upon request to the homecoming committee prior to Homecoming weekend.  Any and all Homecoming returnees are encouraged to bring their folios from last year.  Folios will be needed for the PSAA Ice Cream Social pep band performance. 
• A contribution to the Penn State athletic bands program from ABBA on behalf of each participant

SPACE IN THE ALUMNI BLUE BAND HOMECOMING BLOCK IS LIMITED: Spots will be confirmed in the order they are received. You and any guests you register must be an eligible Alumni Blue Band member (i.e., participated as a student member of the Blue Band for at least one semester) and have an active Alumni Blue Band Association membership profile to participate. If you or any guests you register are later determined to be ineligible, your order will be canceled and refunded.

DUAL PERFORMING MEMBERS PLEASE NOTE: Each ABBA member is required to register individually.
